Hi There, I’m Sunil and this is my story.
For as long as I can remember I have always been fascinated by buildings and how they are constructed. I recall from a young age spending a few days during the summer holidays helping my dad out on construction sites and from then I knew I wanted to be in the construction industry, but it was only much later in life that I decided Structural Engineering was for me!
So how did it all start?
After completing my A Levels in Maths, Chemistry and Physics, I decided to further my knowledge and do a degree at university in something engineering related. what better than doing a degree in Civil Engineering which covers all the main infrastructure disciplines. I completed a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with honours from the University of Greenwich.
With this new form of knowledge, it was time to start putting everything I learnt in the classroom into practice in industry, but which discipline did I want to explore and master my craft in?
Civil Engineering had so many exciting fields when I graduated in 2013 such as Structural, Water Resources, Environmental, Geotechnical, Transportation and construction engineering.
I explored all the disciplines thoroughly and decided structural engineering was the most appealing to me and decided this is what I wanted to pursue.
I worked for an engineering practice in harrow for 7 years mastering my craft and just before covid decided it was time to move on and try something different, So I moved to a much larger practice based in Crouch End.
At this point I was already carrying out structural engineering designs for family, friends and a handful of private clients and local Architects which I had formed good working relationships with, and this began to quickly grow, and my client list just got bigger and bigger.
After the pandemic settled, I decided it was time to take step and branch off on my own. The timing just seemed right and ever since it’s the best decision I have made. To think 10 years ago I was graduating University to being the director of my own company doing something I love and am passionate about is surreal!
